Gerechte Landwirtschaft und die COP30 – Klimakämpfe, Machtverhältnisse & junge Perspektiven

Landwirtschaft ist nicht nur von der Klimakrise betroffen, sondern auch Schauplatz globaler Machtkämpfe um Ressourcen, Land und Ernährungssouveränität. Auf der UN-Klimakonferenz COP30 in Belém (Brasilien) wird über das globale Ernährungssystem verhandelt.

Doch welche Interessen bestimmen die Diskussion – und welche Stimmen kommen zu kurz? 

Damit beschäftigen wir uns in unserem Online-Seminar, anhand von folgenden Fragen:

• Welche Rolle spielt Landwirtschaft in internationalen Klimaverhandlungen und konkret auf der COP30?
• Wie hängen gerechte Ernährungssysteme mit globalen Machtverhältnissen, patriarchalen Strukturen und kolonialer Ausbeutung zusammen?
• Welche Visionen entwickeln feministische Bewegungen, junge Menschen und bäuerliche Organisationen für eine solidarische Landwirtschaft?
• Welche Bedeutung haben alternative Landwirtschaftsmodelle wie Agrarökologie?

Die Veranstaltung wird von portugiesisch auf englisch simultan übersetzt.

Für die Expertise von außen, dürfen wir uns über vielseitige Beiträge freuen, gestellt von:

• Letícia Luz, Friends of the Earth Brasil – zu Landwirtschaft und Machtfragen in internationalen COP-Verhandlungen
• Pedro Alace, Coletivo Miri – zu agrarökologischen Kämpfen, Widerstand und Alternativen in Brasilien
• Abel Soriano Carvalho (LGBT Sem Terra) – globalen Machtverhältnissen, patriarchalen Strukturen, Visionen

Zum Schluss öffnen wir den Raum für eure Fragen, Ideen und Diskussionen.

Just Agriculture & COP30 – climate struggles, power imbalances and young perspectives

Agriculture is not only directly influenced by climate change but also defined by global fights for ressources, land and food sovereignity. During the UN-climate conference COP30 in Belém (Brazil) negoations will take place about global food system.

But whose interests lead the discussion– and whose voices are silenced? 

During our Webinar, we aim to engage with theses questions as well as the following:

• Which role does agriculture play in international climate conferences and particularly at the COP30?
• What is the connection between food systems and global power dynamics, patriarchal structures and colonial exploitation?
• What are visions for an agriculture of solidarity developed by feminist movements, young people and rural organisations?
• How can justice-focused model of agriculture like agroecology be defined and implemented?

The event will be simultaneously translated from portuguese to english.
